Junior Kindergarten (Preschool)

BC Christian Academy Kids Club Junior Kindergarten

Why Junior Kindergarten?

At our Junior Kindergarten your child will have the unique opportunity to learn, play and grow in a supportive, safe, and caring Christian community. We are committed to partnering with you to cultivate your child’s natural curiosity and learning ability, and to support your family through the joys and challenges of growing up and moving into the academic world of Kindergarten and beyond. We hope to provide the best learning experience for your child and to lay a positive foundation for your child’s well-being for years to come: socially, emotionally, physically, spiritually and academically.

Our program provides a balance of structured and unstructured play and learning activities that develop and strengthen the social and academic skills your children will need as they move on to Kindergarten. Our aim is to ensure that children are engaged in a quality program with qualified teachers committed to fostering socialization, inquiry, pre-language and math skills, creativity and spirituality through a curriculum that balances teacher-directed and child-initiated learning.

Junior Kindergarten is available for children aged 3 to 5 years old.

Curriculum

BC Christian Academy Kids Club Junior KindergartenIn addition to the familiar early learning fundamentals such as circle time, story time, hands-on activities and indoor/outdoor playtime, our Junior Kindergarten curriculum includes specially developed elements such as: Montessori-style materials and activities, multicultural presentations, phonics, science and individual workbooks that develop pre-reading, writing and math skills.

Our daily devotions teach the children about God’s incredible love for us. They also provide an amazing foundation of caring and respect as we work together. In planning our curriculum, the children’s ideas and interests are incorporated so that each child feels secure that his or her thoughts are valued and welcomed in our classroom.
