Infant and Toddler Care

BC Christian Academy Kids Club Infant Toddler Care

Why Infant and Toddler Care?

In the Infant and Toddler Care program, we are committed to nurturing and meeting the emotional and developmental needs of your child through their first years of life from 0-36 months, as well as the childcare needs of your family. At this early stage, our program focuses on healthy development, socialization, emotional security and learning new skills. Children’s work is play and their play has a purpose: it is their way of trying out rules and experimenting with life. At Kids Club, we encourage their play in a supportive, safe, and caring Christian community together with other children, teachers, parents and families.

These early years are when children are first experiencing so many new and exciting things, from language to concepts of sharing and helping. Our program provides a balance of structured and unstructured play and learning activities that foster socialization, cognition, creativity, exploration, spirituality, and physical development. We are committed to partnering with you to ensure the best experience for your child and to lay a positive foundation for their well-being, development and health in years to come.

Infant and Toddler Care is available for newborn children to 3 years old.

Curriculum

Our comfortable, caring and secure environment fosters infants and toddlers’ natural curiosity as they freely explore their classroom. The equipment and furnishings are geared towards their level to allow children to be independent and develop confidence. Children are natural learners, and our curriculum acknowledges this by providing both teacher-directed and child-initiated learning. We encourage and guide each child’s natural curiosity to ensure that they are engaged and supported through the joys and challenges of growing up.

Our monthly theme-based program includes the following activities, with each activity being adapted to best suit the age and developmental level of each child:

  • Daily Devotions: Karyn Henley’s Bible Time for Toddlers/Twos, Bible Stories and Songs
  • Story Time: Picture Books, Puppets, Finger-Play Activities
